The Barea of Madagascar killed the top spot hopes of the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the last round of group stage games on June 30,2019 by 2-0.
The new entrants of the Total Africa Cup of Nations shocked the Super Eagles by 2-0 to top group B .
Nigeria were first to qualify to the round of 16 but lost the top spot to Madagascar finishing the group stage by 6 points with the Bareas topping with 7 points.
Nigeria will in the round of 16 play Cameron or the Black Stars of Ghana if the Stars finish as runners up in group F as they play Guinea Bissau on Tuesday July 2,2019.
In another group B game Guinea defeated Burundi by 2-0 to protect their stay in Egypt waiting for the results of other third placed teams in the rest of the groups as they hope to qualify among the four best third teams.
