Newly appointed manager of Volta Premier FM, Mrs. Esther Naa Adjeley Mensah in an interaction with staff says her ultimate aim is to let the world know more about Ho Technical University’s (HTU) programmes and their impact on national development, the achievements of students and alumni through radio programming.
“Every corner of HTU has amazing stories. Good programmes, learned faculty and students who need our motivation to grow. And we can’t forget alumni who are making impact out there and most importantly, Volta Region and Ghana”
She is also promising to deploy more digital tools to reach out to more people beyond the 5Km the station is authorised to operate within.
Mrs. Mensah takes over from Isaac S. Meyir, former head of Public Affairs who also acted as manager.
She brings on board a rich experience in information and communication having worked with the University of Ghana Distance Education Library , as public relations officer with the Ghana Shipper’s Authority, a researcher at Adabraka Polyclinic among others.
Mrs. Mensah is currently doing her PhD at the University of South Africa.
She holds a Masters Degree in Information Studies, BA in Information Studies from University of Ghana and a Diploma in Mass Communication from the African University College of Communication.
Volta Premier has been operating for the past 24 years.
