The National Sports Authority in collaboration with Supreme Lead Consult to organise management and leadership workshop in the Oti region on April 24, 2021 at the Oti Regional Coordinating Council in Dambai.
The one day workshop is aimed at preparing individuals and group of people to take up leadership roles when the Oti Regional Football Association (ORFA) is constituted.
This was confirmed to Voltapremierfm.com by the NSA director for Oti Region, Ms Joyce Datsa.
The workshop will focus on various sporting disciplines that will see nominations during the formation of the ORFA. Among the targeted discipline are football, boxing, basketball, Athletics, Table Tennis, Tennis, Hockey, Cricket, Rugby, Golf and Badminton.
Individuals will also be taken through roles of higher positions such as president of the regional football association, chairman of the Oti boxing federation as well as other sensitive positions on various committees.
The management and leadership seminar is keen in mentoring individuals who will help Madam Datsa Joyce, the regional sports director to succeed at her post.
Organizers of the much awaited seminar disclosed that the amount to be paid as participation fee will be communicated before the date of the workshop on various platforms for interested persons.
Resource persons for the seminar are Dr. Daniel Apaak (Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, UCC), Dr. J.A Baba (Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports, UEW) and Dr. Luguterah W. Austin (Coordinator-Sports Science and management Studies, UG)
