Ho Technical University held a dinner on Thursday, August 17, 2023, in honour of over 40 staff members who retired from the University between 2019 and June 2023. Among them were both teaching and non-teaching staff who had served the University in various capacities over the years.
The longest-serving retiree was Madam Selorm Gbetodeme, who had served the institution from 1987 to 2020 in the Department of Fashion Design and Textiles.
Many of the retired staff, accompanied by their families, fondly recounted their days of work. One retiree, Dr. Noble Dzegblor, suggested that management should organize retirement workshops to help staff prepare for the transition to retirement, thereby reducing the impact of retirement-related surprises.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Ben Honyenuga expressed gratitude to the staff for their dedicated service and extended best wishes for their future endeavors.
The retirees received citations in appreciation of their valuable contributions to the University.
