Ho Technical University donates to displaced residents in Tongu Districts

The Management of Ho Technical University with the support of staff unions has on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Mepe St. Kizito SHS presented some relief items and cash to residents of South, Central and North Tongu Disctricts of the Volta Region who have been affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage.

The items include one thousand bags of sachet water, assorted clothes, live jackets, books, cartons of soap, sacks of detergents and an amount of Fifteen Thousand Cedis (GH15,000) .

Hon. Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa – MP, North Tongu Constituency

The Honourable Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa who received the items thanked Ho Technical University for the kind gesture and promised that an established Accountability Elders Council in charge shall distribute all items to the benefit of all affected residents.

The HTU delegation was made up of Director of HR, Michael Todoko, Director of General Administration and Legal Services, Johnson Aboagye, Alumni Relations Officer, Francis Ganyaglo, Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana, HTU -Branch Chairman, Francois Mahama, TUSAAG Chairman, Fred Jefferson Buatsi, TEWU Chairman, Patrick Yevugah, Deans, leadership and some members of Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana and Technical University Workers Association Ghana.
