The minister of youth and sports,Hon. Isaac Asiamah has cut sod for a youth centre in Nuwenu,near Ho.
The $ 2.4 million facility is to be situated on a 15 acre land out of 100 acre acquired by government for a multi purpose sports stadium.
The 10,000 capacity youth resource centre is to have a football field,8 lane athletics track,tennis ,volley and basketball courts, a gymnasium, ICT ,Entrepreneurship and counselling centres,restaurant among others.
The Atwima Mponua MP says the facility will be constructed across every region in the country to help develop talents.
“the government is determined to have this in all regions so that the gap between talents and infrastructure is closed”
Meanwhile, Togbe Howusu who spoke on behalf of Asogli chiefs said the government’s edifice promised them before the release of the land has not been met and advised the proper thing is done.
The project is to be completed within 9 months by Wilkado Construction Ltd,a Ghanaian firm.
