Ho Technical University has announced the introduction of an e- learning platform to help students study at home. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Ben Honyenuga announced this on Friday April 17,2020 whilst adressing a team of officials from Zoomlion Ghana Limited who were on the campus for a disinfection excercise as part of the measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana.
According to the Vice Chancellor, all those who matter have been taken through training to operationalize the use of the e-learning platform. “As we speak, all faculty, lectures have started implementing our e-learning management system to our students wherever they are to be able to use the web and other means to ensure that education continue even in the midst of COVID-19”
Students are currently using the Moodle e-learning platform.
The disinfection exercise was carried out on the streets, lecture halls and offices of the University.
Total confirmed cases of the COVID-19 in the Volta Region stands at 9( Nine) with 6(Six) cases from Ketu South, 2(Two) from Hohoe Municipality and 1(One) from Ho Municipality.
