Young Dessert Warriors FC have beaten Revelation Fc on Sunday August 25,2019 to emerge champions of the Baby Jet U16 tournament at the Ho Sports Stadium.
The Nkwanta based club from the Oti region were crowned champions of the two days competition after beating Revelation FC from Kpando 4-3 on penalties in the finals.
Both teams were tied at goalless in regulation with the Oti region representative winning on a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
Young Dessert Warriors goalkeeper,Adleban Yawpoal who came off as a player was the hero of the day after his two saves during the shoot-out gave his side the win.
The champions were presented a set of branded Jersey and a pack of soft drinks.
Young Dessert Warriors of Nkwanta will represent Volta/Oti region at the national tournament in Accra on September 10, 2019.
Twelve teams participated in the tournament. They include G.O Sports Academy .(Avatime Biakpa),Triple G. (Kpando),Frankadua FC. (Frankadua),Treasure FC (Dabala),Revelation FC (Kpando),Guerreros de Dios (Sogakofe),Nutifafa FC (Dabala),Dessert Warriors (Nkwanta).,Youngstars Fc (Dzemeni),Tongu Babies(Mafi Sasekpe)
,Fearless FC (Kpando)
and Bebeto Fc(Sogakofe).
