Mahama accuses Akufo-Addo’s government of plagiarising projects done during NDC’s reign

Former President John Daramani Mahama has fired a salvo at the Nana Akufo-Addo led government for desperately seeking to claim credit for projects done during his tenure as President of the Republic of Ghana.

“Our opponents accused us of Photoshop projects. Today, they are going round commissioning those projects they described as Photoshop.”- said President Mahama.

Citing projects such as the the Greater Accra Regional Hospital also known as Ridge Hospital as an example, President Mahama said plagues for commissioning projects are removed and replaced with new ones in the bid to ‘plagiarise’ the projects already done under the previous government.
“I thought only speeches are plagiarized but now I see that projects can be plagiarised”.- Said John Dramani Mahama.
According to the former president, sod-cutting ceremonies are held again for projects for which sod cutting have been done and actual construction works already underway before the NPP assumed the reigns of power on January 7, 2017.
Phase 2 of Kumasi Airport project was one of those he referred to as to have experienced another sod cutting.
Mahama reiterated that funding of 6million dollars ($6m) was already secured and approved by parliament for that project and that the first sod cutting  was done in December 2016.
 
John Dramani Mahama was speaking at a mammoth gathering of party faithful of the opposition National Demofratic Congress (NDC) at Aflao where the climax of the Unity walk. The health walk dubbed unity walk reached it’s crescendo as it marks the last one in a series held across the country.
Several many party bigwigs were present including Presidential hopeful, Skow Spio Gabrah; Former speaker of Parliament, Doe Adjaho; General Secretary,  Johnson Asidu Nketi ; Members of Parliament and former appointees of past NDC governments.
