ACILA schools Journalists from Volta and Eastern regions

The African Centre for International Law and Accountability has ended a human right capacity workshop for some selected journalists from the Volta and Eastern regions of Ghana in Koforidua.
The two day workshop from November 9-November 10,2018 exposed all 25 participants to Ghana’s Human Rights Obligations under International Human Rights Law,Investigative Journalism,International Human Rights among others.
In his opening remarks, the Executive Director of ACILA,William Nyarko urged participants to do more by learning Human Right Laws so as to enlighten the citizenry during reportage.
“Journalist must know the laws and report from an informative perspective”.
Panel discussions during the workshop tackled issues of rape,police brutality,teacher-student sexual relationship, unpaid labour and protection for minority and vulnerable groups.
ACILA  is an international organisation registered under US and Ghana laws that focuses on issues of international justice,anti corruption, rule of law,public international law and monitoring of African States compliance with international commitments.
